Wednesday, April 16, 2009. After riding 75 Ks (45 miles) yesterday we followed the coast, a flatter route today. Flat was good but the distance, 98Ks (60 miles) in sultry heat was tough. Cat spotted a CarreFour sign and her spirits perked up as we entered Melaka. Following it we were soon winding our way through narrow street. Lost, she spotted a guy carrying a CarreFour bag.  He set us straight and we headed straight for the adjacent Hotel Equatorial that he recommended.

The place was beautiful and beyond budget but, what are budgets for if not to be broken occasionally? You can see the view from our balcony. We have all channels on the TV and we’re starving for western news. We need a day off!
