227 A Prayer and Monkey

Just how much religion is there in this Super Socialist State? We have witnessed people kneeling before Buddhist Monks on the sidewalks, in doorways of their businesses and as seen here, under a tree. Signs of faith extend far beyond the Temples.

 Then, as we were exiting Angkor Wat up walks our living proof that Religion and Communism can and do co-exist. Mr. Khem came walking toward us dressed in his Sunday best and ready to lead prayers right here at the Wat.

He was as excited to see us and we were surprised to find him here. Often when you meet people they talk a good story, he seems to be living one. One that lives on both sides of the philosophical fence.
