222 Angkor Wat

On the way to famous Angkor Wat. It’s a 7 Ks ride from town and it’s HOT. The road is good but lots of tour buses and Tuk-Tuks transporting the curious, like us.

And, that is Angkor Wat. Definitley worth the ride to see a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ve seen so may stones stacked by earlier men that it sometimes seems blase’. Yet here, they have been practicing the same religion here for more than 800 years. The site reminds us of Mayan ruins on the Yucatan in Mexico. The difference, that religion is now pretty much history there, this is Buddhism.
