069 Canga to Corregidor
Capcabo Launch
March 9, 2009. Nida in Subic had tracked down a woman who claimed to have a boat to Corregidor. When Cat called her she told us to just go to Capcabo and ask for Allen. AS we cycled into the village a guy yelled out, “You need boat?”
Hooked, we asked, “Are you Allen?”
No he wasn’t but he had a boat and could go, right now. We followed him down a trash littered lane and talked with the Captain, Eddy. Yes, he would match the price and we could go immediately. It was a surprise when we reached the launch site that looked like a dump site on the beach. The boat was a long canoe with bamboo outriggers on each side.
