113 Cycling to Seminyak
Our hotel was just so-so at best and Kuta really wasn’t our kind of place. It’s a haven for young debaucherers and we’re too far beyond that “Night Life” time in life.
The airline guys really threw the bikes around, one shifter was bent, had to be repired. They also let all the air out of the tires. We walked around, confirmed our feeling about Kuta and found a Vulcanizer. (Tire Shop) Pumped and repaired we set off up beach for Seminyak in crazy traffic. We’re still pretty shaky, riding on the left side of the road.
Like this lady, we adjusted to traffic. It is best to assume the best and avoid thinking of the possiblities.

06 Cycling in Bali
Pat & Cat, thanks for showing the western world how beautiful the rest of the world can be. Your are ‘maximalists’ in our eyes, living life to the Max.
Please keep cycling, enjoying, filming, writing and posting 🙂
May the wind be with you,

Your photo of Kuta brought back memories…crazy city, too chaotic!! Bicycles competing with all the motorsccoters would be a challenge. I had enjoyed a nice BBQ fish dinner on the beach there, but was happy to go inland on Bali where you get a feeling for the real Balinese lifestyle.
The Malaysia monsoon was a fun memory too. Thanks for sharing your travels. Be safe and have fun.
Are you switching to moped or bike yet! LOL
The worst day touring is better than the best day working! Keep up your adventure!
You said it Hermano. Where are you cycling now? When will you come to California? We’ll be home in JUly.

Hey Steph
Could have used one on the up hill a few days ago. We cycled down, down, down from Mt. Bromo, a Volcano, today.
