308 HONG KONG & STICKER SHOCK

A very smooth, on time Air Vietnam flight. We’re a little tense about flying in the Airbus after the recent mid-air breakup.

Then sticker shock. The only feasible way to get to downtown Hong Kong is by van. A 30 minute ride that cost $92 US. We had booked the least expensive Hotel on Internet. It turned out to be out of downtown but in a more traditional neighborhood which we grew to love. Lots of small businesses and locals on the sidewalks. We soon learned that the best and most fun form of public transportation is the double decker trolleys.
