Fresh Tuna, not Mackeral

Fresh Tuna, not Mackeral

When I asked if it was okay to take a photo the lady smiled and nodded, yes. then as I shot she leaned in to take part in the moment. I asked, “Are these Mackerel?” She shuddered and said, “No mackerel, is tuna.” Well I should have known the difference, I used to run a fish counter but then, that was 52 years ago.

The Green Grocers

The Green Grocers

A couple of guys were clowning around when we took this pic of their produce display. They continued soI Continued to shoot. They were having the kind of fun I could relate to. I was just 15 when I began working in meat markets. We did have fun with each other and often in front of the customers so that they too could be a part of it. Showmanship!
