Cat on the Beach

This is Bali, this is the Indian Ocean. We shed our sandals and waded. The water is warm, and beautiful. The bits and pieces of plastic and trash distract from the beauty. Our beach near the hotel is open and free of umbrellas. The adjacent, Legian Beach, has rows of shade, shoulder to shoulder,  for frolicking tourists.

Surfing Guru and Student

The local Guru of Surf led the European to the water, explained some of the fine points of the sport then had his student paddle out. After several attempts the neophyte stood, the Guru called out praise and we memorialized the event with this wonderful photo.
