128 Relaxing on the Beach
What a pleasure to awaken, open the shutters and look out upon the Bali Sea. No huge rolling surf but plenty of action among local fishermen. They walk out with poles hoping for a catch large enough to afford a boat. Then, they must pray for a catch that will make the payments and keep the boat afloat.
We ate our meals in the poolside cafe. We sipped beers at lunch and drank wine with dinner. Wine remains way too expensive but you gotta do what you gotta do.
The Hotel Adirama is owned by a German guy, Ruud. His wife, a local, dances and teaches that wonderful Bali style. She won’t be dancing while we’re here, darn.
I did take a refreshing dip in the Bali Sea. What’s with the black and blue arm? We’re not sure. I don’t remember injuring it, I fell on my right. It isn’t painful just troubling. Geez, this getting old thing is not for KIDS!
A footnote, Ruud paid $250,000 US for this wonderful Hotel 8 years ago. What a deal.
