269 Vietnam’s Coastal Beauty
The road out of Nga Trang heads west then turns north once you cross the bridge. The South China Sea is a sight to behold. Then, we see what at first looks like a mirage, a house floating on the silvery water.
This is one of our favorite photos. This Island Home pic will be enlarged to the max then hung in a special place back home. Doesn’t it give one cause for reflection? Who built such a masterpiece? Was it a pre-war dream that’s now a state owned treasure or do they reside there still?
This Island provides a great background for the boat repair work going on on the beach. The boats are unique looking. Most have eyes painted on the bow.
A friend who piloted helicopters during the war told us that he flew this coast many times and always marveled at the beauty.
