103 Malaysian Monsoon
The road drifts right away from the border control. As it did the wind began to howl and sand drifted toward us, filing our eyes and stung our legs. The a wall of water rain poured on us. We struggled to a Toll Plaza and took shelter. Burning up in the heat and humidity just minutes earlier, we were now soaked and shivering. Thank goodness for the Toll Plaza. We hunkered down behind a booth and waited more than an 1 1/2 hours for it to let up. Discouraged for a time, we even began trying to catch a ride. When it finally slowed to a drizzle we cycled on, happy that we hadn’t taken a ride.
