271 Sea Life, After Life

307-fishing-boats1On our right, on Highway 1, is a sea wall and this scene. The fishing boat fleet is has a similar blue look all along the coast.

Here you can see a little round, woven basket boat. These guys set off paddling and searching for fish. First time we’ve seen this but then, we haven’t been on the coast all that  much.

On the inboard side lies the final resting place, at least in this life, of lots of Vietnamese.

Adjacent is a small cafe/store operated by a grandma and family. They sell flowers, fake money that Buddhists burn to make sure that their relatives are not doing without on the other side. 

We had soft drinks and conversation. She worked for the US Army in the days before the surrender.
